SNMP Extensible Master Agent (GpSNMP_engine)
Much of the rationale behind the development of our master agent
can be found in RFC
2741 (Agent Extensibility AgentX protocol document).
We encourage you to read RFC
2741. As you will come to
appreciate, we at Gplicity promote awareness of the SNMP
protocol, its definitions and implementations.
It is with this knowledge a better understanding and appreciation
of how our systems are engineered can be realized. We believe
that you will agree.
Specifics:
The role of a master agent is to send and receive SNMP protocol
messages. The Gplicity master agent provides simultaneous support
for the following protocols:
- SNMPv1
- SNMPv2c
- SNMPv3 (security)
- AgentX (as defined in RFC
2741)
Operating platforms:
- Windows (2000, NT 4.0 and XP)
- Linux RedHat (7.3/8.0/9.0)
